Japan`s “stork`s cradle” saves 16 babies in first year
12 05 2008All I can say is I hope other hospitals here, especially in Tokyo, follow their lead.

I wonder if the parent(s) dropping off the baby or even the t.v viewer is captivated by the Madonna and Child window right next to the cradle? Dwelling on the image of Mary and Jesus for a moment it occurs to me that I am unaware of any other religion, in particular in existence today, where there is ever a mention of the deity`s mom and/or dad or family and art, a lot of art, depicting that. I’m not an expert on Shinto but in the religion`s mythological past there are scenes involving a brother and sister (Izanagi & Izanami) in something that wouldn’t be out of place in Greek myths. Of course there are people that say Jesus is a myth etc, you know virgin birth and all, but I say at least he is depicted as having a normal loving family and not something disgusting.
